This step is the most important step in improving your quickness in preparation for the shot and mastering this step will allow you to be ready for any choice of shot (top spin, under spin, etc...)

December 26, 2007 - January 5, 2008 If you want to improve your groundstrokes, remember this - ball will not come to you, you have come to it. Do the splitstep first right at the moment your oponent is hitting ball, and then very quick first step toward the ball. Your last step before hitting the ball should always be forward as you shifting weight from back leg to the front one. That will add power and control to your groundstrokes.

Splitstep is a must for good voley and backcourt plays.
